Dream Catchers Craft Fairs 2013 part 2

Dream Catchers

Dream Catcher Lore:

Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad. The dream catcher when hung over or near your bed swinging freely in the air, catches the dreams as they flow by. The good dreams know how to pass through the dream catcher, slipping through the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams not knowing the way get tangled in the dream catcher and perish with the first light of the new day. http://www.dream-catchers.org/

I was definitely addicted to making these.  They aren't terribly hard to make once you have done a few.  The most interesting part is how creative you can be with the designs inside the circle.  I am a little "feather challenged" though but maybe that is because of the limited variety of feathers that I have.  :-)

I have made so many I brought them to the Christmas season craft fairs, also.  If anyone would like to buy one or two I still have plenty in different styles and colors.  I will add some choices to this post later I think.  My next goal for Dream catchers is to make them from grape vines and make them a little more rustic and less stylized.
