Oh, Oh not Ho, Ho

I hope my little polar bear doesn't crash into those trees!!!

Faux stitching on the card, real stitching on the brown paper.  By the way the brown paper is made with regular white card stock soaked in "tea water" and sun dried*.  It makes the color a very soft brown.

The trees and sentiment are from Stampin' Up stamps called It's Snow Time made in 2004.  I cut the trees from two green colored scraps and layered them over the stamped image.  Punched out an oval to act as sun and a background for my brown ribbon.  I colored the Polor Bear with water color pencils and some gel pens. The snow is white embossing paste, the Polar bear stamp is from a set called Polar Express also Stampin' up made in 2002.

*boil a pot of water, steep some inexpensive tea bags in the pot then cool to just cool to the touch.  I cut the card stock into quarters for better handling.  Soak until desired color is reached.  Then dry completely.  You may want to re-dunk the paper quarter to get a darker color.
